Personal Training and Yoga Therapy with Jess
I have been practicing yoga, strength-training, dance, physical therapy, and meditation for 18 years—my skill and knowledge base are vast and my specialties wide. While I can train abled individuals; my unique skill-set is offering support for those of us with chronic pain, illness, trauma, and disabilities. I utilize foundations of alignment, core stability, breath-work, strength-training, flexibility (safe for hypermobile joints), Raja yoga, meditation, and energetic cleansing to holistically strengthen, manifest resiliency, find balance, reduce inflammation, heal trauma, calm down our nervous systems, and alleviate chronic pain and illness.
I have extensive knowledge regarding Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD and Complex-PTSD, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Fibromyalgia, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Chronic Fatigue, Arthritis, Lyme Disease, Asthma, Lupus, Crohn’s Disease, Post-Surgical Pain, Post-Car Accident Trauma, Addiction, Skeletal/Muscular/Nerve Pain, Insomnia, Pelvic Pain, Migraines, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Repetitive Stress Injury, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, and Chronic Stress Management.
About the sessions: For our first session we will have an intake where we discuss your capacities, abilities, access needs, desires, and goals. From there, we will begin to build a personal practice specific for your bodymind, working within your capacities and desires to reach your goals (whether they are to develop muscle, reduce pain, create a yoga sequence, etc.). Written homework and exercise descriptions are offered after each session, eventually giving you a library of tools. As we work together, I will develop a personalized schedule for your practice and support you in maintaining it.
I offer sliding scale sessions to make sure that my services are affordable to my community. This being said, I stress the importance of carefully, intentionally, authentically, and honestly paying what you can afford based off of your income.
